Volunteer activists launched RestoredCDC.org to recreate the CDC website as it appeared on Trump’s inauguration day, preserving public health data that was altered or removed under his administration. Despite a federal order to restore health agency pages, many links remain broken or hard to find. The RestoredCDC team, which includes public health experts and web developers, aims to rebuild site navigation and provide access to vital information. Two other archiving projects—End of Term Archive and Wayback Machine—also aim to preserve government websites.

Flossing Could Save Your Life |
If you’re one of the two-thirds of US adults who do not floss daily, you may want to rethink your habits. A new study found that regular flossing was linked to significantly lower risk of certain forms
of stroke and AFib, likely because the practice reduces inflammation and harmful bacteria linked to heart disease. While more research is needed to confirm these findings and control for confounding variables, flossing appears to be an easy, inexpensive way to support heart and brain health.

New Nursing Academy Coming |
MD Anderson Cancer Center has received a $9 million gift from the Wheeler Foundation to establish the F. W. Bert and Mae Dean Wheeler Nurse Leadership Academy, advancing oncology nurse leadership. Part of the Meyers Institute for Oncology Nursing, the academy will provide mentorship, leadership training, and career development for nurses. It will include a mix of in-person and virtual learning, self-directed study, and expert-led sessions to equip nurses with skills necessary to excel in leadership.

Many remote case managers work for insurance companies like Medicaid, United Healthcare, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Humana. Others might work for a hospital system or specialty clinic for patients with specific health needs such as fertility, mental health, or cancer.
