Nearly 15 years ago, the US Department of Justice sued Georgia for institutionalizing people with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses and not providing proper at-home or community-based support. Under federal oversight for the Americans with Disabilities Act, the state has since invested $521 million into the issue, but various challenges still leave many individuals stuck in institutions. States like Virginia and North Carolina are also struggling to improve their compliance with the law, while states like Delaware and Oregon have improved enough to exit federal oversight.

Inspired by their experiences as mothers, the duo debuted their brand on November 7, gaining praise for its practicality. though there’s little evidence that adding nutrients to unhealthy ultra-processed foods makes people healthier.
