Funding for Indigenous Nurses |
For indigenous American students seeking a career in nursing, Arizona has an excellent funding opportunity. The University of Arizona College of Nursing has just received a $1.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Servicesβ Indian Health Service to fund another five years of the Indians in Nursing: Career Advancement and Transition Scholars (INCATS) program. Students receive tuition and fee support along with a living stipend and resources to partner with tribal communities in the state.

One of the toughest bugs to avoid of those that cause food poisoning is listeria, a hardy bacteria that can live in a wide range of foods and temperatures. Now a new listeria outbreak linked to deli meat has already
