Saturday is National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day! (Yes, it’s real.) You might not want to pack a grilled cheese sammy for a long hospital shift, but check to see if your cafeteria offers this popular lunchtime treat.
If you’re off and you’d like to honor the day, you can keep it simple: slap a good old slice of American cheese on some white bread and fry it up with butter. Or, you can get fancy like Jon Favreau in Chef and experiment with different cheeses. Either way, enjoy!

Baby Born With Transplanted Womb |
Grace Davidson, born without a womb due to MRKH syndrome, became the first woman in the UK to give birth after a womb transplant, which she received from her sister Amy in 2023. In February 2025, Grace and her husband Angus welcomed their IVF-conceived daughter, Amy Isabel, whose name also recognizes Isabel Quiroga, who led the clinical trial overseeing the transplant.
The world’s first womb-transplant baby was born in 2014.

Nursing Home Staffing Rule Blocked |
A federal judge in Texas struck down a Biden-era rule requiring 24/7 licensed nursing staff in most nursing homes, ruling it exceeded federal authority and conflicted with existing laws allowing staffing flexibility. Introduced after the pandemic to improve care standards, the controversial policy faced legal challenges from nursing home groups who said it imposed unrealistic
demands. The nursing facility trade group American Health Care Association called the decision a win for seniors and care access. Tell us how you feel about it here.

Relax Your Mind With “Soft Fascination” |
There are two broad categories of attention or fascination: hard and soft. Hard fascination refers to stimuli that forcefully grabs all of your attention, such as a complex piece of abstract art. Soft fascination, often experienced while spending time in nature, instead refers to a gentle, effortless attention that allows for reflection and mental restoration. It doesn’t fill your mental bandwidth like hard fascination does, but when you add soft fascination experiences to your daily life, it can reduce stress and promote well-being.
