The winners of a dozen nursing innovation grants have been announced by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, AARP and an AARP-Robert Wood Johnson joint venture called the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action. Nearly $275,000 has been awarded to 12 projects in nine states and Washington DC that aim “to strengthen and diversify the nursing workforce through innovative nurse recruitment and retention strategies that establish and sustain healthy, equitable work environments.” See the grant recipients here!

The nursing faculty at Dickinson State University in North Dakota have had enough. Only weeks before the fall semester starts, every single full-time faculty member resigned together, citing “untenable workloads and potential accreditation issues,” according to a local outlet. The dispute began with a new policy in February that faculty claimed was unrealistic and unreasonable.
The mass resignation includes seven full-time instructors and leaves the future of the program in uncertainty.
