How To Help MauiΒ
Maui residents need all the help they can get after last week's devastating wildfires. While the governor advises people to leave and stay away from HawaiΚ»i at this time, you can still help. One option is to apply to volunteer with the Red Cross on-siteβand possibly be part of the highest-priority efforts. You can donate blood or donate to various GoFundMe fundraisers, foundations, and relief funds (including those for animals). See The New York Post for a comprehensive list of ways to help.Β

Hope for the Paralyzed
A New York man paralyzed from the neck down can now move his body again thanks to a novel treatment using AI technology. The groundbreaking treatment, called βdouble neural bypass,β involves implanting tiny microchips into the brain to form an βelectronic bridgeβ to the body and spinal cord. It effectively creates a kind of bionic spinal cord. The patient has two ports in his skull that connect him to a computer with AI teaching his spinal cord how to recover and strengthen connections.Β
