New Student Nursing Assessment |
Elsevier Health has launched a new standardized test that enables nursing instructors to assess how prepared their students are for clinical practice. The HESI Clinical Practice Readiness Assessment aims to assess studentsβ clinical judgment and practice readiness. These are two key focus areas of the NCLEX that researchers have found lacking in recent years. See what skills the test will focus on at the Elsevier HESI CPRA site.

Compounders Must Halt Tirzepatide ProductionΒ |
Now that GLP-1 drugs Mounjaro and Zepbound are no longer experiencing shortages, compounding pharmacies lack the legal justification for continuing to sell their compounded versions of the drug compound, tirzepatide. Compounders pushed back on the FDAβs decision last year that
shortages had ended, but a federal judge sided with the FDA last week, telling compounders they must immediately stop making tirzepatide. The FDA has said it will give compounders until March 19 to stop making the drug.

Moms Do Most Household βCognitiveβ Work |
This statistic wonβt surprise any moms: Mothers take on about 70% of the mental load for household tasks, a recent study found. A survey of 3,000 U.S. parents asked who does the cognitive workβplanning, organizing, decision-making, etcβdone for various household tasks. Moms manage most core tasks, those essential for family functioning that cannot be put off, and it takes a toll. Dads mostly manage the less
frequent episodic tasks, such as gardening or repairs.
