Hiking Nurse Helps Saves a Life

When Ashley Anderson, a school nurse, went hiking with her two kids and her dogs in Utah’s Adams Canyon on Memorial Day, she likely didn’t expect she’d use her medical training. But then she and friends came across a 64-year-old grandfather who had fallen 20 feet from the canyon, breaking his leg and slicing open his head. Anderson leapt into action, helping carefully move him away from the cold water he was in until EMS could arrive by helicopter.

Oklahoma Expands NP Prescribing Authority

The law takes effect in November.
